My Services
Reconnecting you with your health
I have been practicing Osteopathy for over 20 years and love seeing my clients find relief from persistent pain. More recently I have begun incorporating Chronic Pain Recovery Coaching into my work, having trained with the Stress-Illness Recovery Practitioners’ Association (SIRPA).
By the end of our work together, you should feel a significant improvement in your symptoms. Often my clients report that they feel ‘normal again’, which is a huge relief and gives them hope.
More than that, you should feel more in control of your own health, and empowered with the tools you need to maintain freedom from pain and your sense of wellness.
“Catrin Mear has been treating me for more than 10 years and as a result although in my 80’s I remain active and energetic. Her methods may seem unusual at first as she only includes what appear to be very gentle pressure but the effects are wonderful.”

Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a safe and effective method for treating persistent pain, which involves hands-on manipulation of the body.
It is an evidence-based approach grounded in scientific research, enabling people with persistent pain to find relief and improve their symptoms.
I also specialise in Cranial Osteopathy, which is a gentler kind of osteopathy with less ‘cracking and clicking’. There will be limited discomfort during our sessions.
It is suitable for children and babies as well as older adults. My approach can be adapted to your needs - whether you are in severe pain or your child needs to run about the room!

“Catrin is highly intuitive and skilled. The treatments are painless and extremely relaxing allowing your own body to make the necessary adjustments guided by Catrin’s expert hands. .”

Chronic Pain Coaching
Sometimes pain can be connected to our mental health and wellbeing, perhaps getting worse when we are stressed. Maybe the pain began after a particularly challenging event in our lives.
By looking at the whole person and considering these factors in our work together, I am able to help my clients make a fuller recovery.
It is an empowering approach, helping people to understand their body better and learn strategies to resolve stress-related pain.
I can work with you online in-person or online purely focusing on Chronic Pain Coaching, or we can incorporate this coaching into in-person Osteopathy sessions.
“Catrin approaches healing from a completely different angle. Muscles have memories and respond to stress, anxiety and emotions. My sessions aren’t just about my back but about my overall mental wellbeing.”
— J.G.
Osteopathy with Chronic Pain Coaching
It’s up to my clients how much they would like to incorporate Chronic Pain Coaching into our work. You can have in-person Osteopathy combined with coaching to a greater or lesser extent.
The hands-on Osteopathy is a wonderful way for your body to remember what is was like to feel relaxed and healthy. By combining this with strategies to reduce the impact of stress on your body, you can be empowered to maintain your own connection to feeling healthy.
